At the beginning of February Jonathan’s brother, Justin, returned to Oregon (where his parents are currently living) from his mission in Oklahoma. After some time in Oregon he wished to return to Utah where he had a job, school, and supposedly a couple of girls waiting for him. So Jonathan’s grandmother volunteered to take our family and Eric to Oregon to pick up Justin and bring him to Utah. We choose to do this on President’s Day weekend so we would have four days to make the 900 mile trip and back.
This is part of the drive to Oregon. Eric, Morgan, and I nearly died as we slid on the snow and did a 360 almost hitting another car and then sliding to a stop just a couple of feet away from a cliff. I was shaking when the car stopped. Luckily 2 days later as we traveled home the roads were completely clear. Jonathan kept saying “Remember when we drove here and the roads were covered in snow?”
Jonathan's mom wanted to take family pictures, so we took these pictures at a park near their home.

Neither of my daughters look very happy. |

Our goofy picture (If you couldn't tell). |
Here we are at the beach in Oregon during the 24 hours we got to be with Jonathan’s family.

Isn't she adorable? |

Bonnie was trying to get a picture of Jonathan dipping me. |

He must think he's more of a man with his chest puffed out. |
 |
Aww. |
And on the way home we saw donkeys!
So, despite our near death experience, a very expensive speeding ticket, and just a short time to visit the family, I would say we had a blast. :)
